Description :
When an action game lets you dress in pink Pinstripes before carving up crowd suddenly terrible, you know it does not take itself seriously. Ninja Blade is a game, but so ridiculously over the top, so rambunctiously insane, that it's hard to get a total kick of it. This is an uneven product, both technically and derivatives bone troubles. Ninja Blade maintains a breakneck speed while throwing you into a script other silly until you need to catch your breath, simply because the on-screen action is so unreasonable glare or by because you're laughing too hard. So do not expect deep combat, extreme strength image, or challenge to break a finger. Instead, just be prepared for a lot of fun frivolity, which will keep you entertained despite some technical flaws.
One foot down, seven to go!
You should also prepare for more memorable moments than you can shake a katana. Ken, the star of Ninja Blade, sensationally acrobatic that he makes the joke in The Devil May Cry Dante seems mundane reality. In the course of the game, he'll sky, surf on missiles, perform stunts despite the gravity of a motorcycle, ride a destructive ball to glory, in the very many other victories will make the exercise even green with envy Ryu Ninja Gaiden. These scenes, frivolous, funny movie is ridiculous, but they are asked to watch and absolutely bound to get your pulse pounding. However, you are not relegated to a simple observation. Most of this visual insanity is accompanied with rapid button event time, which means you will need to keep your eyes glued to the screen when you even more than to sit back to relax a. Close-up of Ken's keen eye signals these events, so they'll never catch you off guard - and you should not miss a button, the scene will be back (one cooling effect) and allows you to try again. Unfortunately, Ninja Blade's QTEs are all too often, capturing a large amount of playing time and all but requires you to use a controller (hammer on the keys and mouse buttons are not very satisfied). Here's the QTEs fine, but they also make games based on them often that they become tedious after a while.
You will be lucky to spend time holding some strong wings on the roof and destruction of Tokyo. Using the titular single katana, a fast-acting wings, or a heavy but effective sword, you'll slice up a series of mutated meanies as you seek to liberate Tokyo from a nasty disease that demons, deep symbiotic thingies. Ninja Blade is a simple button masher, so you can string two main attacks, blocks, and jump into different combos that you unlock the game. The combat system is not too deep, you will not make Ninja Gaiden II's wall, jump slices or use Devil May Cry style of fighting a lot 4. However, the act provides a good sense of the impact and fill the screen with lots of flashy visual effects. It does not provide many challenges, though, and you can finish the game without exploring some more snazzy moves. That does not mean that you can choose a single weapon and mash your way to victory, some enemies need to be softened your heavy blade, while edged rapidly more effective against certain foes (and helpful when trying to stop the bullets are to good). However, if you want to be quite a challenge, you should go hard to the highest setting from the get-go.
This is where training wax, wax-off 'payment.
This type of button mashing may seem par for the course, and it arises to the extreme, but what Ninja Blade lacks in originality, it makes snappy enthusiasm of its speed. Action moves quickly from a script next, mix in a boss fight another and reveling exceed its gleeful cinematic. You will fight winged demons in freefall, operate turrets in order to capture some of the rails, and cut the terrible monsters on the wings of an airplane flying (do not ask how Ken any observance of the laws of physics - he just does not). It's all larger than life, especially when you face the various bosses free throws your way. Many of the meetings fun, or at least they are the first time, you will fight a few of them several times in the course of the game. Some of them, such as a beast-riding femme Fatale, even legal challenges. Others are not difficult but requires you to reduce their health, test your patience if not your skills.
There are other activities to help alleviate any potential tedium. You can run up a wall along the style of Prince of Persia, although the moments are highly scenario and can not be mixed into the battle. However, they control pretty smoothly for the most part, and a small bullet-time effects make it fun to watch Ken leap from a different wall. In some places, you would use a grapple wire to zoom to your next location, or through walls with your giant sword. You can also enter ninja vision (yes, it sounds cheesy), which slows time and allows you to cause further damage and potential view points of interest in the region. Significantly, you can open up the wrath of three different types of blades turn: fire, wind, and electricity. You will need them to solve some types of puzzles (eg, wind shuriken douses flames), although they can be useful in battle, if not always because you need them, but because they are light on the screen with vibrant special effects.
Splendid sight of Ninja Blade from special effects excitement of it, the motor in great films, and some sparkling city environments. That's not to say that the game is a technical powerhouse, however. The iterative environment is not all that imaginative or detailed, and good animation, but not polished as in other similar games. Moreover, sometimes technical errors into hacking and cutting. Frame rate tends to decline as the battle heats up, and try to remove the game from the main menu can cause games to freeze. The sound is equally vivid and inconsistent. Ninja Blade appropriate loud and rambunctious, but cut off all dialogue too often. Also, sometimes there is a delay between the odd on-screen actions and sound effects included.
Riding rockets are great, but not the best thing that you do. Really.
And then you can unlock costumes, adding a common type found in the action game, but delivered here a popular hysteria. You can dress like a ninja Ken evil and scowl while you play if you like, but a curiously ridiculous treat, not the clown costume and mess around with its color. Such a view does not befit a proper ninja, of course, but then again Ken does not like jumping around Tokyo with flair, so unless you insist on the seriousness of the game ninja, you will enjoy the bad-boy kicking butt in purple Paisley. But even if you are looking for serious and Ken fit, Ninja Blade is so much fun you will want to go back once you've vaulted your way through eight or nine hours needed to complete it.
Even if the amount of content here does not compete with what you can find in the best action game, Ninja Blade still offers a lot of excitement and entertainment. This is a derivate of fun, provided with panache and touch of madness. While it was a few too many technical flaws, Ninja Blade is a blast to play.
